The Whampoa Military Academy is a new type of army officer school founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen in 1924 with the assistance of the Communist Party of China and the Soviet Union. It is a historical witness of the first cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. it has trained a large number of outstanding military personnel for china's new democratic revolution. Mr. Sun Yat-sen takes "creating a revolutionary army to save China's peril" as the purpose of running the school, and "dear and sincere" as the school motto, learning the experience of the former Soviet Union in building the army, and cultivating revolutionary military talents, which is of great significance in modern Chinese history and military history.

The gate of the Huangpu Military Academy Memorial Hall is hung with a vigorous "Army Officer School" plaque, under which there is a couplet "Promoted to get rich, go elsewhere; greed for fear of death, do not enter the gate", and criticize "revolutionaries". Party members walked into the first and second exhibition halls to watch the exhibition. The exhibition hall reproduced the historical process of "Communists in Huangpu" and "Communists out of Huangpu. In the section "Communists in Whampoa", party members learned that the Whampoa Military Academy took the combination of political education and military training as its concept, and trained a large number of cadres and cadets with firm political stand and excellent military ability. They took the lead in the two Eastern Expeditions and the Northern Expedition, and made immortal contributions in the war. In the part of "Communists out of Huangpu", party members saw that after leaving Huangpu, cadres and students continued to devote themselves to the revolution, participated in the armed struggle, and played a mainstay role in the Autumn Harvest Uprising, the Guangzhou Uprising, and the War of Liberation. With reverence, the party members relived the learning and life scenes of the military academy. From the simple furnishings and supplies, we can see the hardship of the conditions at that time.
