Recently, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced the implementation date of the Mainland Civil and Commercial Judgments (Mutual Enforcement) Ordinance (Chapter 645) and the Mainland Civil and Commercial Judgments (Mutual Enforcement) Rules. This event is timely. Later, Director Chen Haopeng reported to the participants on the operation of the law firm and the party building work of Shengdian Dongguan Branch since its opening one year ago. Since the establishment of the branch, it has always adhered to the leadership of party building, integrated innovative development, steadily implemented the "three meetings and one lesson", actively carried out party building activities, and gave full play to the role of party organization resource integration. Mr. Xu Wenjie shared with the participants on the topic of "Hong Kong Civil Procedure and Cross-border Enforcement of Mainland Judgments. First of all, Mr. Xu started from the characteristics of civil litigation in Hong Kong, with five key points of procedural justice, burden of proof, pleadings system, non-trial procedures and different procedures for different types of cases. Then, from the three dimensions of the amount standard, time limit and procedure of the civil litigation jurisdiction of the Hong Kong court, in particular, the use of various instruments in the pleadings procedure, the non-trial procedure and the enforcement of the judgment procedure is listed and compared, and the application of various procedures in the civil litigation of Hong Kong is analyzed in combination with the case. Finally, Mr. Xu gave an in-depth explanation on the implementation time and specific contents of the relevant regulations on cross-border enforcement of mainland judgments, so as to provide useful reference guidelines for the enforcement of mainland judgments in Hong Kong in the future.
